Revolutionary War Pension Information

Information from “Virginia/West Virginia Genealogical Data from Revolutionary War Pension and Bounty Land Warrant Records”, Vol. 2, compiled by Patrick G. Wardell, Lt. Col. U.S. Army Ret. :

Duncan, Nimrod - entered service 1779 in Fauquier County, Virginia; married 2/13/1786 to Hannah Martin (Marriage Bond Fauquier County, Virginia]; soldier abt. age 80 in Shelby County, Kentucky, when only sons John abt. age 53 & Joseph abt. age 50 applied for Pension in 1842 for soldier who was insane for the past 15 years; soldier granted Pension in 1843 & died there 3/9/1844; [sons] granted Pension age 79 there in 1848 [??]; son Joseph living in 1858. F-W2925, R864.
