DIED. Nicholas Bowe.

Nicholas Bowe, one of the pioneers of Chippewa County died at the home of his son, Leonard, in the town of Tilden last night at the age of ninety years.

He was born in Germany and came to America in 1855 settling on the farm in Tilden where he died. Chippewa County was a wilderness when he first made his way up the river and cleared his farm in the forest.

He leaves surviving him a daughter, Mrs. B. Horn and two sons, Leonard and Joseph of Tilden.

The funeral will be held Friday morning at ten o'clock from the Tilden church.
