[edit] = Personal HistoryIn April of 1838, Nicholas bought 414 1/2 acres in Limestone Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. On part of this acreage, he gave to be used for a new church, Immaculate Conception Church. Other early settlers were Harters, Dingers (Dinchers), Bertins, Schillings and Engels. A majority of their descendants still live in the area (Nippenose Valley and Williamsport). When Nicholas moved elsewhere for churchwork, his father, Johann, and his brothers remained.
