Married in NY State by a protestant minister in 1814, according to the oldest son's baptism record at St. Anne's Church in Detroit, MI (record has not been found); Nicholas was 5'7" tall, black hair, dark complexion, dark eyes, and was a sculptor. Military Service: 1812, Army 2nd Regt, Rifleman (pension, denied in 1857).
