    Born: 1778/80 or 1790 Belgium, France; Died: bet. 1860-70 in Washington Co., MO; Emigration: Came from France in 1805 to Buffalo, NY; first Delcour in America. Married in NY State by a protestant minister in 1814, according to the oldest son's baptism record at St. Anne's Church in Detroit, MI (record has not been found); Nicholas was 5'7" tall, black hair, dark complexion, dark eyes, and was a sculptor. Military Service: 1812, Army 2nd Regt, Rifleman (pension, denied in 1857).

    Nicholas B. Delcour Sr. was the son of Damien Delcour b. 1752 in Belgium, France, and Harriett Gollars b. 1756 in France.

    He married about 1814 in Buffalo, Erie Co., NY, (1) Marie "Francoise" Le Grave (La Grave, buried at Saint Stephens Cem.); they had one the following children: (1)Nicholas B.
