    Services for Nicholas J. Baum, 72, 237 Freeman, will be at 8 a.m. Monday in Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial in Mount Calvary Cemetery. He will lie in state at Brennan Funeral Home Sunday from 2 to 8 p.m. Parish rosary will be recited in the funeral home Sunday at 7 p.m.

    Mr. Baum died Friday night in a Topeka Hospital. He as born Nov. 6, 1887 in Topeka and lived here all his life.

    He was a Santa Fe employee 31 years before his retirement. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

    Mr. Baum is survived by his wife Mrs. Josephine Baum of the home; four daughters, Mrs. Catherine Reedy, 240, Scotland, Mrs. Marguerite Artzer, 1529 W. 24th, Mrs. Clara Lambrecht, 1160 Woodward, and Mrs. Agnes Taylor, 1807 E. St. in North Topeka Trailer Court; 10 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; two brothers, John Baum, 231 Courtland and Ralph Baum, 624 Freeman and a sister, Mrs. Josephine Raab, 325 Liberty.
