From Obituary dated approximately 1899
Mr. and Mrs. Seymour traveling to America by vessel having been on the water for 6 weeks with 2 small children Mary and Joseph and 10 other relatives. They settled and lived for some years in Washtenaw County, Michigan
His parents were Richard and Mary (Jackson) Seymour. No record of a United States naturalization could be found for Newton.
Doing a search of the English marriage registration index, I could not find Newton's name. The registration began in 1836.
