Newton, also known as "Newt", was a very proud man. Newton farmed for many years on the family farm, where he and his wife Cora raised their 9 children. After retiring from the farm, he and Cora moved to Randolph, WI. Newt drove semi and also drove many people to appointments as a volunteer driver for Dodge County. Newt was a religious man and served in many roles for the Christian Reformed Church in East Friesland, WI and also for the Christian School. He loved to talk to others about His Lord and Savior. He and Cora Mae enjoyed traveling together, they made trips out to Africa to visit with their daughter Susan and family. Upon Cora Mae's death in 1992, Newton continued to travel to see the beauty of this world. Newton referred to his grandchildren as "Pete and Joe", which always brought a smile. And he always had pink peppermints in his pocket to hand out to the grandchildren. He always had his camera on hand to capture the moment. His love for the card game, Rook, brings a smile to the face of those who enjoyed a game or two with him.
