When he heard it he was about 10years old and it caused him to have chills up and down his back. Thefamily had a flag in with window with a gold star in their window. Itwas really sad around the area as another boy, which they all knew, waslost to the war in the same time period

Krumm, 20, U.S. Army, son of Mr. andMrs. James Krumm of Refugee Road, who was killed in action July 27, 1943in Sicily, will be reburied Tuesday at 10:30 AM in Pataskala Cemeterywith military services under the direction of the American legion. Pfc.Krumm, who volunteered for service November 9, 1942, was attached to thetank core for the time and later was assigned to the infantry. He was aformer employee of the U.S. Supply Depot, Columbus. He was born in June14, 1923, in Pataskala and is survived by his parents; three brothers,Delbert Krumm of Westerville, Alfred Krumm of Columbus, Harry Krumm ofReynoldsburg; two sisters, Mrs. Lorena Flynn of Columbus and Miss EileenKrumm of the home. His mother was formerly Dora Purkey. The body willbe received at the Vinton D. Morrow funeral home Monday night."
