Nelson Case was born Aug. 26, 1886, at Ogden Center, MI. At an early age he, with his parents, moved to Oklahoma. After spending 18 or 19 years in Oklahoma and other southwestern states, he returned to the vicinity of Ogden Center where he spent the remainder of his life as a farmer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. P. Case, four brothers, Jerome, Dayton, Carl and Warren. After being in failing health about 11 months and being bedfast for four weeks during which time he was patiently cared for by Charles Grames, he departed this life July 25, 1946, at the age of 59 years, ten months and 28 days. He leaves to mourn his death one sister Mrs. Louella Rogers of Oklahoma City, Okla., one brother Millard of Ogden Center and a large circle of friends. The funeral services were held Saturday at 3 o'clock at the Tagsold Funeral Home in Blissfield with the Rev. Gerald French officiating. The burial was in the Zion Cemetery. The bearers were Charles Grames, Wade Ashby, Robert Savage, Lawrence Baker, Fletcher Cochran and Lloyd Valentine.
