Nehemiah Williams was the son of John Wesley Williams (born in VA) and Susannah (born in MD). He was born on January 16, 1815 in North Carolina. He married Mary Studebaker on August 2, 1837 in Elkhart Co, IN. They moved to Marshall Co, IN where their children were born. In 1855, they moved to Iowa. By 1860, they were living in Brown Co, KS. Sometime between 1865 and 1870, they moved to Holton, Jackson Co, KS. By 1875, Nehemiah and Mary were living in Wetmore, Nemaha Co, KS. The 1880 census showed Nehemiah and Mary were living with son Abraham and his family in Jackson Co, KS. Nehemiah died on February 14, 1885.
