Newspaper clipping from Beech Hill, WV:
    HOOVER HALL DEAD
"Hoover Hall, an aged and very highly respected citizen of this place, died Feb. 1, 1917 at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Newton Legue. He was born June 30, 1832 in Washington County, Ohio. He was united in marriage to Mahala Devore, 60 years ago. To this union was born fourteen children, four of whom have preceded him in death. He leaves to mourne their loss a loving wife, three sons and six daughters. He united with the Christian church eight years ago and has remained faithful. Our aged friends and citizens are fast answering the roll call and while we miss the faltering step and trembling voice, we hope to meet again where "age has no power."
