Nathaniel's father died when Nathaniel was only eleven. Nathaniel then left Falmouth and came to Gloucester.

    He deposed that he lived at Falmouth from earliest recollection until the first Indian war, and for 7 years between the wars, and built a home on his father's farm, Wharfe's Point, up Presumpscot River, next above Mackworth's.
    In 1735 he deeded all interest in Falmouth to Nathaniel Noye
    Noyes says he was 70 in October 1730; 71 in April 1732; about 72 in July 1733; living 12 April 1736, upward of 75.
