Father's will gave Nathaniel 60 acre plantation "Grists". He was married twice, both marriages are listed in the records of Holy Trinity (Old Swedes) Church, Wilmington, Delaware.
June 2, 1779, The Pennsylvania Gazette [Not sure this is right Nat. KC] STOLEN out of the pasture, from the subscriber, in Brandywine Hundred, near Wilmington, on the night of the 23d of May, 1779, a black gelding HORSE, 11 or 12 years old, has a small star in his forehead, a small white spot on his back, a little white on one of his hind feet his mane cut off his withers, hath not been docked, near 14 1/2 high, had no shoes on when stolen, paces and trots, and was in good order. Whoever takes up said horse, and secures him, so that the owner may get him again, shall have Forty Dollars, and if the thief is secured, so that he may be brought to justice, shall have Twenty Dollars reward, paid by NATHANIEL CLOUD. He was listed in the 1790 census of Delaware. Nathaniel Cloud Sr. of Brandywine Hundred, New Castle County, Delaware died March 24, 1802. His Administration papers were dated 1802. |
