LWT: In the name of God Amen, I Nathan Pitman of the state of North Carolina and the county of Robeson being weak of body but of perfect sound mind and memory do make and ordain this my last will and testament in the manner and form following, viz: First I give, bequeath and devise to my son Sampson Pitman one hundred and ninety nine acres of land whereon he now lives. Second I give, bequeath and devise to my sons Levi and Noel Pitman four hundred acres of land whereon I now live and also two acres including the grist mill and saw mill. Third it is my wil land desire that all my personal estate be equally divided between all my sons and daughters hereafter named (to wit) Nathan Pitman, Newit Pitman, James Pitman, Robert Pitman, Jesse Pitman, Samuel Pitman, Temperance Pitman, and Elizabeth Pitman and I do appoint my sons Levi Pitman and Noel Pitman executors to this my last will and testament, in witness whereof I set my hand and seal this 17 April 1799.
