"Lewis, Nathan, s. of Philip … m. Sarah Osborn, dau. of Capt. John, … she m. (2) 24 Jan. 1725/6, John Bishop. On 8 Nov. 1729, John Bishop of Stamford, having m. the widow of Nathan Lewis late of Fairfield dec'd (whom he refers to as "rny late wife Sarah") gave bond of £100 to the heirs of said Lewis, viz.: Charles, Nathan, and Elizabeth; a witness was John Osborn. In 1742 Charles Lewis and Stephen Godfrey and Elizabeth his wife conveyed land from their mother Sarah Lewis dec'd."
