  6. Allred, p. 134, gives Nathan a first marriage in 1801. That marriage belonged to his father. Nathan Jr. was still under age in 1801 so an unlikely candidate to be marrying while his mother had just died leaving the father a widower and a very likely candidate to remarry, which other records show is just what happened.
