    [Note: Vol. 2, p. 45, gives her name as Hepsibah, and she is so named in the births of their children and in her death record of Southborough. It is not sure where Elizabeth came from, but it is pervasively found on the Internet. "She was a widow named Snow when she married Nathan, but research has failed to give the full name of her first husband."]

    Will of Nathan, dated 1 Jan 1783, names a wife Martha. She signed a receipt in the probate documents. This must be the Martha Gleason who m. 6 Feb 1750-51 Nathan Brigham, which had previously been assumed to have been the son's first marriage.
