Napoleon Comfort Joy b. 9 Sept 1827 Putney, died after 1878 in St. Charles, Kane, IL m. 1 jan 1852 in St. Charles to Cornelia A. Hall b. 25 Jan 1832 in Toronto, Canada, d. aft 1878 in St. Charles. Children: 1. Glen C. Joy aka Olen C. b. 26 Feb 1853 St. Charles Twp., died 14 July 1834 in Los Angeles County, CA m. 24 Feb 1875 in St. Charles to Flora A. Wheeler d. after 24 Feb 1876 St. Charles. Note: I just took the time to look up Glen's death. He is listed as Olin C. in the California Death Index. His wife's initials are F.A. in the Index so I know this is the right person. This means that instead of her dying after 24 Feb 1876 in St. Charles that she must have died after 1934 in California, unless she came back. I'm probably going to check the census records for 1930 in Los Angeles to see if they are both there at that time. Generally, when a wife's initials appear in the index it means that she was still living. If they don't appear, she is not. That means, if I find her, then she probably won't have Olin's initials appearing in the index. I didn't do that when I checked for Glen/Olin. I have no children listed. 2. Fletcher Lewelleon Joy b. 28 Oct 1856 St. Charles, d. 1925 in Green County, IA, buried Junction Cemetery in Green County. 3. Ida Joseph Joy aka Pola J. b. 11 Jan 1859 in St Charles Twp., d. 31 May 1931 in Green County, IA, buried Junction Cemetery in Green County. 4. Adin Wesley Joy b. 20 Dec 1863, d. 13 Sept 1934 in Albion Twp., Narka, KS, buried Maple Grove Cemetery, Albion 5. Lincoln Joy b. 22 Apr 1865, d. 17 June 1944 in Albion. 6. Nora C. Joy b. 14 Feb 1871 in St. Charles Twp., m. C. D. Cossaart b. St. Charles. Child Leslie Joy Cossaart who died before 2000 and was married to Bertha Bentley who also died before 2000. They had a child Vesta who is probably still living. 7. Olive Joy who I also have a note to having an aka of Olin C. born 1853. The problem I have with the aka is that it is the same as Glen's. Also the fact that the birth year is the same as Glen's. Could they be twins? Don't know. Obviously this last child is a problem child. Since I found a "male" Olin in the CA death index, I don't think the aka fits this girl. I think Olive must have married, but I don't know to whom, yet. She is, however, in his house in the 1870 census at the age of 17. By the next census should would have been married, most likely. References
