    Naomi E (Miller) Lauchnor, 91, of Slatington, died Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at St. Lukes Hospital, Allentown Campus, after being stricken at home. She was the wife of the late Stewart C Lauchnor. Born in Limeport, November 30, 1920, she was the daughter of the late William and Wyoma (Schaffer) Miller. Naomi was employed as the Sexton of Heidelberg Union Church, Slatington, for many years before retiring in 1996. Active in the life of her church and community, Naomi was a member of the United Church of Christ congregation of Heidelberg Union Church, Slatington, where she currently served on the kitchen committee, was a former Sunday School Teacher for 50 years, was a former Hand Bell Choir member and a member of the former Womens Guild. She was currently serving as Lady Assistant Steward of Schnecksville Grange # 1684, and was Past Master of the former Washington Grange. Naomi was the former Assistant Superintendent of the 4-H Department in Agricultural Hall during The Great Allentown Fair week for many years. She was employed part-time during fair week, just completing her 52nd year. She was a 4-H leader at the former Germansville 4-H Club. Survivors: daughter, Cynthia W Neward with whom she resided; brother, Emmett Miller and his wife, Marie, of Limeport; sisters, Evelyn Kercher of Allentown, Wyoma Rupp and her husband Henry of Vera Cruz; grandchildren, Wendy Bok and her companion, David Guest of Nazareth, David Newhard and his wife, Jane of Macungie; great grandchildren, Brad, Justin, Lauren, Joshua and Derek; great great granddaughter, Aubrey Marie. Services: Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, December 10, 2011, at Heidelberg Union Church, 5187 Irvin Road, Slatington, with Pastor Karen A Yonney officiating. Family and friends may pay their respects from 9 to 11 a.m., Saturday in the church. Interment will follow the service in the adjacent parish cemetery.
