"Died. In this city on the 25th inst., Nannie Lou, daughter of W.B. and Mattie McDowell. In this sad dispensation the surviving relations are not the only sufferers. The community has sustained the loss of one of its most beautiful, amiable, and considering her years, intelligent members. We can but bow to the will of God, but oh it is hard for poor, frail humanity to realize that the death of a lovely girl, ready to bloom into beauteous womanhood, is all for the best. The bereaved family have our deepest sympathy."
