Parentage

Some researchers claim that Nancy Winton was a daughter of George Winton and Katherine Shults, but this disagrees with many other sources [including The Winton Register] that have her as a daughter of John Winton and Arabella Cunningham. Also, John Winton in his will written 1842 in Roane County, Tennessee clearly names his daughter Nancy Johnson, and her husband Samuel Johnson, therefore proving her parentage. Nancy Winton is listed on the Find-a-Grave page of Arabella Cunningham as one of her children, and she is NOT listed as one of the children of George Winton on his Find-a-Grave page.
