Nancy married Rush B. Torbett (Tarbet) in 1852, and moved with him to Greyson Co., Texas in 1859.

Nancy and Rush had 5 daughters before Rush enlisted in the Confederate Army and died in a POW camp in Alton, ILL. in 1863.

Nancy remarried David Rogers on May 3, 1868 at McKinney, Collin Co., TX. they were married by G.S. McKinney, minister. The general index to mariages, Vol. 3, Pg 127 lists her name as "Tarbet"
