Nancy Seaver died intestate, and her probate records are in Norfolk County (MA) Probate Docket #16,343 (viewed on FHL Microfilm 1,509,414)

A petition for appointment of an administrator for the estate was filed on 13 January 1838, and Joel Seaverns was appointed (Norfolk County (MA) Probate Records, Vol. 69, Page 70). Bond of $2,000 was filed on the same day with Nathaniel Seaver of Boston and Robert Seaver of Roxbury as sureties (Vol. 69, Page 72).

On 27 January 1838, the Inventory of the estate was filed by the administrator. The real estate was valued at $321.65, and the personal estate was valued at $2421.47 (Vol. 69, Page 96).

An account of the administrator was filed on 11 August 1838, and was allowed by the Court. The administrator had received receipts totalling $3622.25, but had paid out $4222.18, such that the administrator was owed $599.93. Debts were paid to Joshua Seaver ($433.55), Joel Seaverns ($366.10), Nathl Seaver ($371.71), John Seaver ($366.27), Robert Seaver ($1842.33), William Seaver ($305.57), and Joseph Seaver ($305.57) (Vol. 70, Page 113).

A petition to sell the real estate was filed on 11 August 1838, and was ordered by the Court (Vol. 70, Page 114). The real estate (land in Jamiaca Plain on Burroughs Street, containing about 41,832 square feet) was sold to Robert Seaver for $620.00 on 1 September 1838 (Vol. 70, Page 158)

A final account was filed by the administrator on 1 September 1838, and was allowed by the Court. The land sale was applied to the administrator's balance due, and the balance was provided for the administrator's expenses (Vol. 70, Page 159).
