One leg wasshorter than the other and she walked with one crossed over the other. Aunt Ruth told us that she was operated on by Dr. Woods but it didn'thelp. My memories of her are when she stayed with granny, Naomi, in Kirbyville,Texas. She had a bell that she would ring when she wanted something andshe had candy that she gave you when you helped her. Anita Cones She was a member of Dover Methodist Church at Hubbard, Texas. Spruiell/Spruill family may have been of German origin long years ago,but the family came from England. Her family were wealthy and either of Royal blood or at least were "blueblood". They were cotton brokers before the Civil War, but lost theirmoney in the aftermath of the war. ....research fromAlta Derryberry Buried at Cold Corner, Dover, Cemetery - Hubbard,Texas[HesterAnnSpeer.FTW] Nancy was married in her father's home.
