Nancy was born about 1784 in Lancaster Co., Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of Johann "John" Michael Sprinkle (1732-1816) and Maria Elisabeth Weigel (1738-1816). Both died in Henderson Co., Kentucky.
Her father, John, was born in Manchester, York Co., Pennsylvania. He was the son of German immigrants, Michael Sprenckel (1697-1748) and Anna Margaret Miller (1704-1765). Nancy's mother, Maria, was also born in Manchester. She was the daughter of German immigrants, Johann Martin Weigel (1703-1759) and Anna Dorothea Friedel (1708-1762).
In 1786, Nancy married widower, John Huffman (1756 ?-1823). He was 30 years of age, Nancy 22. They were married for 37 years and had at least ten known children.
Husband, John, is thought to have been born in Lancaster, Lancaster Co., PA. He was the son of Rudolph Huffman (1732-1794) and Elisabeth Dorothea Weiss (1736-1812).
John died on Feb. 4, 1823 in Vincennes, Knox Co., IN at the age of 67. He is buried in the Herman Church Cemetery in Iona, Knox Co., IN. Nancy, who did not remarry, died between 1851-60. She too, was buried in the Herman Church Cemetery.
