Obituary: Nancy L. Schaffer, daughter of Ben and Fern Schaffer, was born in Madison County, IA, April 17, 1941 and passed away April 27, 1970. She attended grade school in Clarke County and was a graduate of the Truro School and graduated with the 1962 class of Iowa Lutheran School of Nursing. She was employed at Northwest Hospital in Des Moines.

She is survived by her parents; two sisters, Mrs. Cheryl Ross of Indianola and Terri of Des Moines; two brothers, Rex of Indianola and Marc of Des Moines; a sister-in-law, Kay, a brother-in-law, Dean; three nephews, Merrill and Michael Ross and Rodney Schaffer and her maternal grandfather, John Fitzgerald of St. Charles.

She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter 89, Des Moines, Harmony Court Amaranth, Sweet Adelines, Inc., and the Forth Des Moines United Methodist Church.

Eastern Star service were held at Fort Des Moines United Methodist Church with burial at Fremont Cemetery.
