Research notes
- In a Nelson County, KY court deposition over land in 1818 James Rogers Sr., age 75, stated that William Rogers, who died 7 or 8 years ago was his eldest brother, and that another brother, Jonathan Rogers died in Virginia in 1782. There is also a confirming statement by an Agnes Bailey who identifies herself as a sister of these 3 brothers, James Rogers, William Rogers and Jonathan Rogers.[1]
