Parentage of Nancy Kennedy

Note: some researchers claim that Nancy Kennedy was a daughter of John Kennedy and Nancy Pendleton. This is in error, as John Kennedy and Nancy Pendleton were married in 1794, as listed in the "Potomac Guardian and Berkeley Advertiser" of Monday, October 6th, 1794:

Martinsburg, October 6th, 1794

Married last Thursday evening by Rev. Mr. Boyd, Mr. John Kennedy of Baltimore, Merchant, to the elegant and equally accomplished Miss Nancy Pendleton of this town, a young lady.

Other sources place Nancy Kennedy as a daughter of William Kennedy and Martha Campbell of Virginia.
