Nancy Hull, 88, of Carmel passed away on October 24, 2021. She was born October 19, 1933, in Lebanon, the daughter of the late Richard and Mary (Medsker) Higgins. She married C. Eugene "Gene" Hull II, who preceded her in passing on September 25, 2013.
Nancy was a devoted wife, daughter, sister, and mother who loved and cared for her children. Not only handling the duties of homemaker but also shuttling her children to their many activities. She also was a great cook and hosted many of the family gatherings for parties and holidays. She had a big laugh, sense of humor and sharp wit that could match anyone.
Also to be noted, early in life she was one of the first women hired to sell Encyclopedia Britannica.
Nancy had an adventurous spirit traveling along with her husband Gene's zeal for living life. A few examples include, in her early days camping out of state with young children, catching a 261 lb. Marlin by herself while fishing in Hawaii, and while on an Alaska cruise panning for gold twice in one day. Then later on at her retirement residence, taking up painting and singing in the choir.
Nancy was a long-standing member of Orchard Park Presbyterian Church.
Nancy will be missed by her family and friends but leaves behind many fond memories for them to enjoy.
She is survived by 6 children, Deborah and Chris Klasing, Sherry Redman, Genya and Doug Dispennett, Roanna Williams, C. Eugene III and Daizy Hull, and Eric and Jayne Hull; 15 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; brother, Kurt (Nancy) Higgins; and a sister, Jean Freisz.
She was preceded in passing by a son, Edwin Hull.
Services entrusted to Flanner Buchanan – Carmel, 325 East Carmel Drive. with interment at Browns Wonder Cemetery in Lebanon.
