2. Ann GOODWIN b. 1760 (Where?) Married James MAHAN, b. 1755 near Winchester, Va. Rev. soldier, Indian spy in and around Fort Pitt 1775-77 while living on the Monongahela River. Was she sister to John GOODWIN who lived in Fayette Co. Pa. during this time?
John GOODWIN was b. 7 Feb. 1746, Baltimore, Md.; parents Benjamin GOODWIN and Hannah URGHUART. Was Ann's full name Nancy Ann GOODWIN? Early records give James? wife as Ann, later records as Nancy. Some say this the same person. They went to Greene Co. Tn. ca 1778 where he raised a Company and was a Capt. under Col. SEVIER, during the Indian Wars. Moved to Knox-Whitley Co. Ky. ca 1790 and followed ch. to Mo. in old age. They were in Cole Co. Mo. in 1837. He d. Llvinston Co. Mo. 17 Dec. 1839. She d. 7 Oct. 1840.
