Nancy (widow) Littlefield married Benjamin C. Hersey in Salem, EssexCounty, MA, with intentio n published 29 Oct 1825. The 1850 census forSalem, MA cited the Benjamin C. Hersey family, a ll born in MA, on Aug. 6,1850, as: Benjamin C. Hersey, age 48, Laborer; Nancy, age 58; Benja min,age 21, Mariner; William Henry, age 17, tanner. The household alsoincluded Joseph Stickn ey, age 24, Mariner; Sarah Ann Stickney, age 24;Joseph Aus., age 2; and Charlie A., age 1/12 . Relationships are notlisted, so I do not know if the Stickneys are related. This wouldind icate that John Littlefield's mother was born about 1792. There hasbeen family speculation that her maiden name was Graydon.
