NANCY JANE was born in the neighboring county of Adams and is a daughter of Smith and Margaret (Johnson) Fairchilds, who had come into Indiana from Green- ville, Ohio and established their home in Adams Co. HISTORY OF JAY COUNTY COUNTY by Milton T. Jay M.D. 1922. Application for letter of Administration in Jay Co., IN. The personal estate of the probable value of $300.00 was left to her children & grandchildren. At the time of her death, she did not own any real estate.
