Interred at the Jacob Routh Cemetary, Plano, Tx. From Dale De Lozier : "De Lozier is an old family from the Normandy peninsula of France. The original spelling was De La Ozier, which literal translation was "Of the Willows". The first contraction of the name was De L'Ozier, but we here use De Lozier. Family lore relates that five brothers came to America during the American Revolution as part of La Fayette's forces. Because of the recorded crests, it is probable that they were career military officers. After the war they settled in the Maryland area where they went their separate ways. Two of the brothers were to have moved into PA, which is where my family originates. My dad found that the Court House at Hagerstown MD. was built on De Lozier property." |
