Mrytle Georgia was the daughter of Lucy Amelia HOFFMAN. The only record of her father is stated by her sister-in-law Norma Draper, 1900 Locust, West Des Moines Ia in information given at the time of Mrytle's death. Norma Draper stated that Mrytle's father was Elis BANE. This needs more research.

Mrytle was born in Des Moines, Iowa 29 Nov 1902 and died in Des Moines Iowa 21 Nov 1970 at Des Moines General Hospital, Des Moines Iowa. She had been at the hospital one week before her death. She had been residing at 1522 Maple, Des Moines, Iowa at the time of her death. Her S.S. # 408-36-2987

I believe that Myrtle's father was George E. BANE. 1910 Census shows his in Des Moines, Iowa age 30. His middle name may have been Elis.

Social Security Death Index shows her birth as 29 Nov 1901. I believe it is probable that the SS date is correct based on 1) date of 1910 Census was 19 April 1910 so if you use 1901 instead of 1902 then she would be 8 as census shows 2) 1920 census was 23 Jan 1920 so if you use 1901 instead of 1902 then she would be 18 as census shows. Someone else gave her birth date when she died so may not have known correct year. This would mean she was born one year five months and 11 days after the last time we have proof of Lucy living with Frank Chillman.
