He enlisted from Haverhill, April 15, 1756, in Col. Saltonstall’s Reg. for the expedition to Crown Point; and was in Capt. Gideon Parker’s Co. of Newbury, Dec 22, 1756. This year (1756) “his tax was abated ( in Haverhill) on account of his services in the expedition to Crown Point.” Hew as in Col. John Greenleaf’s Reg., Capt. Samuel OPierce’s Co., June *, 1757, and was enlinsted April 7, 1758, in Capt. James Read’s Co. Nov. 14, 1759. Moses Stickney of Leominster, Mass., yeoman, for L53 6s. 8d., sel;ls William Stickney of Newbury, mariner, and qut-claim to all the land that came to him by his honored father, Jonathan Stickney, late of Rowley, dec’d. “At Inferior Court of Common Pleas, held Sept. , 1766, Richard and Lydia Stickney made oath to said Moses Stickney’s (since deceased) singning the deed.” Essex Deeds, 124: 193 References
