    Chester. N.H. October 20, 1731

Rev. Moses Hale of Newbury, Mass., graduated at Harvard in 1722 and was ordained the day the church was organized. A large number of Irish Presbyterians came into the place soon after his settlement, who were opposed to Congregationalism. A jealousy arose between them and the original settlers, which produced an unpleasant state of things. Mr. Hale's health failed and he was dismissed in August, 1735.

He was born in 1703 and is supposed to have died soon after his dismission.

[Note: While some facts fit, this may not be a match as the headstone calls him "Mr." and not "Rev." which seems more likely if he was the Rev. Moses Hale in this paragraph.]
