MORDECAI2 ELLIS (Thomas <ellis_hut0001.htm>1) was born on 23 September 1723 in Oley, Berks County, Pennsylvania. He married Mary Hutton, daughter of Nehemiah Hutton <ellis_hut0010.htm> and Sarah Miller, on 29 November 1749 in Maiden Creek Meeting House, Berks County, Pennsylvania. He died in 1785. He was a Friend (Quaker). He was received on certificate from Haverford Monthly Meeting on 27 December 1744 by Exeter Monthly Meeting, Berks County, Pennsylvania. At his own request, Mordecai Ellis and Mary Hutton were granted a certificate to Hopewell Monthly Meeting on 28 April 1773 by Exeter Monthly Meeting. He and Mary Hutton were received on certificate from Exeter Monthly Meeting on 7 June 1773 by Hopewell Monthly Meeting, Frederick County, Virginia.
