Moore Carter b. C1680 Isle of Wight Co, VA to NC by 1720, called Mose/Moses in some old records. Look in old Chowan & Bertie NC records; he's very prominent in them. He married Jane Kindred, who filed his estate inventory in Bertie Co, NC 1740. No Jesse mentioned in Moore's estate nor in Jane Kindred Carter's will dated 27 Jan 1764 (Some grandkids were included) Some say Moore had 10 kids but the notes of the VERY knowledgable Mr. Lucas has nine. The papers I have, made mention of the 10th child possibly being the Edward Carter who was in bertie Co, NC. Kids of Moore & Jane listed:

Moore Carter married ca 1715 Jane Kindred. Jane Kindred was the daughter of John Kindred jr ca 1660 - 1703 and his wife Catherine. Kindred was the ancestor of President Jimmy Carter. "Kindred Carter settled in Richmond Co., Ga. on the frontier of the new state along Little Germany Creek. This land became part of Columbia Co. in 1790 and is now in McDuffie Co. lying approximately 35 miles west of Augusta along the old Augusta - Wrightsboro Road. At Kindred's death in 1800, his estate was divided five ways, although only four heirs are known " from an article written by Kenneth H. Thomas, Jr. Historical researcher , Ga.
