    Monroe L. Wentz, 86, of Manchester
    Monroe Laverne Wentz, 86, of Manchester, died Monday, Jan. 5, 2004, at his home.
    Born June 30, 1917, in Smith Station, Pa., he was the son of the late Milton and Clara Beachtel Wentz. He was the husband of Margaret Harner Wentz.
    He was a farmer.
    He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Littlestown, Pa., and a former member of Glyndon fire company.
    Surviving, in addition to his wife, are daughter Nancy Reever of Davenport, Fla.; sons Harry Wentz of Manchester and Jeffrey Wentz of Stevensville; sister Gertrude Reaver of Cross Keys, Pa.; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
    He was predeceased by daughter Joan Kikta.
    A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Eline Funeral Home, 934 S. Main St., Hampstead, with the Rev. Matthew Schenning officiating. Interment will be in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Littlestown, Pa.
    Friends may call from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
