Mrs.. Gladys Rich May, 74, of Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, died Tuesday night at Memorial Hospital of Alamance after several years of failing health. A native of Alamance County, she was a daughter of the late Christian Alexander and Mollie Bet Rich, and the wife of Curry May, who survives at home. She was a retired textile and a member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church. The funeral will be conducted at Emmanuel United Methodist Church Thursday at 2 P.M. by Rev. Jesse Bone, pastor, and the Rev. Lee Moser. Burial will be in Pine Hill cemetery. Survivors, other than the widower, include a. sister. Mrs.. Baxter Latta of Burlington; and two brothers, Clyde Rich and Hobart Rich, both of Burlington. The family will be at the Rich and Thompson Mortuary in Burlington today from 7 to 9 P.M.. Other times, they will be at the residence, 833 Chapel Hill Road. Burlington. The body will remain at Rich and Thompson Mortuary until taken to the church to lie in state 30 minutes before the service.
