Mrs. James A. Jessop
Mrs. James A. Jessop, 72, resident of Topeka and vicinity since 1903, died Thursday at her home, 718 Horne. She was born in Hagerstown, Md., August 1, 1869, and came to Kansas with her parents in 1883, settling in Hope. Mrs. Jessop was a member of the First Presbyterian church and Royal Neighbors of America.
Surviving are her husband, James A. Jessop, of the home; eight daughters, Mrs. James E. Horton, Eastland, Tex.; Mrs. George R. Carrothers, Topeka; Mrs. Henry Bell, Lyndon; Mrs. John Baker, Topeka; Mrs. Russell B. Allen, Honolulu; Mrs. Joe Eklund, Topeka; Mrs. Charles Howard, Lyndon, Kan., and Miss Marie Jessop, San Diego, Calif.; three sons, Frank R. Jessop, Lyndon, Kan.; William J. Jessop, Eastland, Tex., and Wayne W. Jessop, Topeka; one sister, Mrs. Harriett Schenk, San Francisco; four brothers, Lloyd Hutchinson and William Hutchinson, California; Chester Hutchinson, Abilene, and Frank Hutchinson, Omaha, and 17 grandchildren.
