- ↑ The Essex County Republican, December 3, 1943, page 4, column 2 [excerpt]: Mrs. Zeph Hapgood, 87, of Keeseville, died at Physicians Hospital, Plattsburg, Saturday at midnight after an illness of several weeks. Survivors are her husband, two sons John of New York, and another son residing in Detroit, Mich., and a daughter Mrs. Doctor Morrison of New York. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon. Burial in the Evergreen cemetery.
