Roderick had only four [children]... Delia [their daughter, born in New York], who married Benjamin Logan in Illinois in 1854. They moved to Lathrop, [Clinton] Missouri. In 1879 Benjamin died, and Delia moved out here to Lincoln with two sons, John Delos and Benjamin. John Delos was my grandfather. Minerva joined them here later. Minerva, Delia, and John Delos are buried side-by-side in a little gold rush era cemetery near Lincoln.

Their children were Silsby, Esther, Jerome, Adelia. Delia Jane Scoville and Benjamin L. (J.) Logan married Jul 15, 1854 in Carthage, Hancock, Illinois. Benjamin born 05 Apr 1818, Marion, Indiana to William Logan and Elizabeth McCarty, died 15 Jul 1879 Fulton, Callaway, Missouri. Delia was born 20 Sept 1833 probably in Warsaw and died 11 Aug 1912 in Lincoln, Placer, California and was buried there. Jerome B. Scovil, born about 1832 in New York, married Elizabeth Welch Oct 12, 1851 in Carthage, Hancock, Illinois. Her parents were John Welch and Elizabeth Scott and she was born about 1832. Jerome and Elizabeth are in Grand Island Twp, Colusa, CA (p449d) in 1870. Esther J. Scovill, born about 1859 in Illinois, married William A. Montague Aug 23, 1877 in De Kalb Co,
