Minerva Teter, born January 20, 1825, is listed in Kellogg's history of the Teter family as the first daughter of Solomon Teter and Mary Ann Bland. Minerva Teter is said to have first married Fleisher, but others suggest her father was a Fleisher and the first husband of Mary Bland, probably because Minerva's date of birth noted on her tombstone is before the date of Solomon and Mary's marriage. Minerva married William Sponaugle, November 3, 1844 in Pendleton County, West Virginia. She died May 2, 1898.
