Mary Bauer had the following children: Louise, Clara and Augustus (Uncle Moe) Louise was sent to St. Aloyisis Orphanage in Bond Hill near Cincinnati, Ohio. When Millie Kessen (never married) was young the family was in the Sacred Heart Parish in Camp Washington in/or near Cincinnati. Aunt Millie went to the local parish grade school there. When her brother, George, was in about 4th/5th grade, the father George Kessen died. When she was about ready to enter 8th ? grade, the family moved to Norwood, Ohio. This move gave them a larger (4) room apartment. At this time Mary Bauer, Millie's grandmother came to live with them. Millie remembers her grandmother as being very quiet. Mary Bauer had also been raised in an orphanage. She was found as a very young child in a train accident. Her parents were never identified. The train was a circus train, Nothing is know about the family of her origin. When Mary was old enough to leave the orphanage, she left on her own to become a domestic.
