  1. Millard C. "Bill" Barger, 95, of Rimersburg, died Friday afternoon, Jan. 18, 2002, at Clarview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Sligo, of natural causes. Born Aug. 5, 1906, in Perry Township, Clarion County, he was a son of Bert and Eliza Hutchison Barger. He was a coal miner in the deep mines of Clarion County much of his adult life and retired from Cooper-Bessemer (later Cooper Energies) of Grove City. He was a member of the United Mine Workers Union. Mr. Barger was of the Protestant faith. He enjoyed gardening and reading the Bible. Surviving are two sisters, Ruth Stewart of Parker and June Bailey of Clarview Center, Sligo; several nieces and nephews and several great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four sisters, Ethel and Bernice Kriebel, Verna Fair and Dorothy Barger; and four brothers, Russell, Jardine (Jab), Byron and Floyd Barger. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the H. Jack Buzard Funeral Home, Wayne Street, Parker. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Dutch Hill.
