Will of Millicent Clardy Will Book 51 County Clerk Nottoway County, Virginia In the name of God Amen. I Millicent Clardy of the county and parish of Nottoway, being of sick and weak body but of a sound imposing mind and memory, do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following, To wit, Imprimis I give and bequesth unto my Grand daughter Sally Norman Butler my blue chest and all my wearing apperril of every nature or kind whatsoever. Then my Will and desire is that myjust debts shall be paid out of my crop of corn wheat and tobacco now on hand and the residue of my said crop together with all my stock of cattle, sheep, and hogs my feather bed & furniture and all the rest of my household and kitchen furniture, not already disposed of and plantation utensils of every description I give and bequeath to my son William Clardy & his heirs for ever. Item I give and bequeath unto my particular friend Martha Wills wife of Edmund Wills all my fowles of every description and lastly I constitute and appoint my son William Clardy sole executor of this my last Will and Testament, revoking and annulling all former wills by me made. In witness whereof I hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this twenty ninth day of September 1800-- her Millicent XX Clardy seal mark Signed sealed published & declared by Millicent Clardy to be her last Will & Testament in presence of his Robert X Hood mark Thomas Booth Edmund Wills In Nottoway County Courts January Fifth 1801 This last Will and Testament of Millicent Clardy decd was offered for proof proved by the oaths of Thomas Booth and Edmund Wills two of the witnesses thereto and is ordered to be recorded.
