As written by youngest child Elsie Ruth Nix which is still alive and lives in Salt Lake City Utah. Also some info will be from Emett Dwight Nix`s daughter, Hazel Nix Edwards who lives in Ingleside, Tx. Children of Miles and Sarah: 1. William Henry Nix born Nov. 26, 1882 in AL. died July 02, 1964 and is buried in Restland Cemetery, Bishop Nueces County, Texas beside his wife, Laura Maud Holden Nix born Dec. 15, 1879 and died Sept. 8, 1942. They had 5 children: Jennings, Ollie, Ruby, Lorrane, and Chalmer. Ruby Nix Johnson born Nov. 17, 1907 died Augl. 27, 1990 is buried next to her husband, Homer J. Johnson born Feb. 22, 1904 died Feb. 11, 1987 in Restland Cemetery, Bishop Nueces County, Texas. My husband, James Keith and I (Jerry Lou Nix) have visited these gravesites and taken picture. Their son Jennings lived in Brownwood, Tx. Ollie had a daughter that lived in North Texas. Ruby had a daughter and son.�Daughter`s name is Carolyn and a music teacher in Bishop and divorced. �Lorrane was deaf and dumb and burned up in a fire. Chalmer lives in a San Antonio mobile home park and died. He had 1 daughter.�
3. James Oscar Nix born March 20, 1886 in AL. Jim married Beulah Gregg. They had 5 children. Their children are Welch, Roy, Charlie, Eddeth, Delores. Jim died Jan. 31, 1966 in Abilene, Texas. Eddeth Jewel Nix daughter of J.O. and Beulah Nix born Sept. 12, 1916 died June 10, 1918 is buried in Goodnight Armstrong County, Tx.��next to her�grandfather, Miles Jenning Nix. Delores is still alive and lives with her daughter, Jerry Van Oel in CA and here is her�email address, in case you want to get more information on her family and maybe on other family members. Forney Lee Nix born March 10, 1888 in Al and died�4 months later. 5.�Emmett Dwight Nix Born July�23,�1889 in Al. Emmett married Myrtle McGee �December 28, 1908 in Potosi, Taylor County Texas. Emmett died July 09, 1963. Myrtle was born March 09, 1890 and died November 17, 1976. They divorced in 1934 in Ingleside, San Patricio County, Texas. Emmett remarried a lady named Ellen and was married to her at the time of his death. Emmett and Myrtle are buried beside each other at Seaside Memorial Park, Corpus Christi Nueces County, Texas. I will send you the family of Emmett and Myrtle at a later date. 6. Effie Maud Nix was born Aug.�06, 1891�in Alabama. Maud married Arthur Holle and had no children. Maud died April 08, 1970 in Altus, Oklahoma. She loved to eat Myrtle Nix`s cooking.

Clarence Jennings Nix died 17 Feb 1959. �He was born in Leonard, TX. �His second wife was Vesta Viola Gatlin (her second marriage). �She was born 1 Feb 1901 and died 25 Nov 1979 in Chillicothe, Hardeman Co, TX. �They are both buried in Eldorado. I was quite surprised to find that Sarah Elizabeth Freeman Nix is also buried in Eldorado. �I show from the gravestone that her birthdate is 18 Mar 1866. For Fred Eugene Nix I have the birthdate as 16 February 1901, from his obituary and that he was born in Floyd, TX. I had not found the name of Clarence Nix's first wife, so thanks for that. �Also I did not have the children of Miles & Sarah correct. �One which I had and you didn't was William Oliver Nix. �However, since you had a William Henry I decided my William Oliver was in the wrong family.
