Mildred Esther Smith Dec. 1, 1926 -- Aug. 6, 2003

Mildred Esther Smith, 76, of Gibsonburg died Wednesday at Windsor Lane Ca re Center.

She was born in Frenchtown OH, to the now deceased Richard August and Co ra (Schultz) Witt. On July 27, 1968, she married Lyle Darrell Smith in Mar tin and he survives.

Mrs. Smith was a homemaker. She was involved in child and adult care and h ad worked at the Stokley tomato factory.

Also surviving are sisters Carolyn Starnes of Oak Harbor, Joanne Pett it of Northwood, Betty Lou (Henry Roger) Roberts of Van Buren, Kathleen (J ohn) Baer of Curtice, Priscilla Lehmann of Genoa and Barbara "A.J" Sobec ki of Toledo; brothers Alvin (Polly) Witt of Dade City, Fla., Wilbur (Jea n) Witt of Martin, Richard (Alice) Witt of Williston, Ervin Witt of Tole do and Ronald (Sharon) Witt of Northwood. She is preceded by her parent s, brother Karl Witt and sisters Barbara A.E Witt and Anna Lane.

Visitation: 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today, Herman-Kinn-Veh Funeral Hom e, Gibsonburg.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Rev. Monte Kaufm an officiating.

Burial: West Union Cemetery.
