She was born in Goshen on October 8, 1908 to Ida (Smith) and Emmett Howard. Mildred was married to Adrien Rausch who preceeded her in death. Her siblings were Kathryn Howard Krocker, Evelyn Howard Moore, and Donald Howard. Funeral services were performed by Rev. Michael Foran and Rev. Allen Bergmann. She was buried at the Sharon Moravian Church Cemetery. [edit] Obituary Transcription - The Times Reporter, Dover-New Philadelphia, OhioMildred L. Rausch, 93, of Dover, and a longtime New Philadelphia resident, died Tuesday, April 2, 2002, at Park Village Health Care Center following a brief illness. Born Oct. 8, 1908, in Goshen, she was a daughter of the late Emmett and Ida Smith Howard. She was a member of Sharon Moravian Church, having been confirmed more than 78 years ago. She had also attended First Christian Church at New Philadelphia. Mildred married her husband, Adrian A. Rausch, on Oct. 29, 1926. They resided for 48 years in the home in which Adrian was born and raised until his death on March 7, 1975. She is survived by three daughters, Jeanette (Vernon) Nicks of Encinitas, Calif., Judy (Jerry) Gwinn of New Philadelphia, Jane (Paul) Delcoma of Strasburg; two sons, Jack (Irene) Rausch of Olmsted, Ill., Jerry (Betty Rausch of Ashtabula; sister, Evelyn Moore of Tuscarawas; 11 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, 12 great-great-grandchildren and one great-great-great-grandchild. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Donald Howard, and sister, Kathryn Krocker. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2002, at 11 a.m. in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home at Dover with Rev. Michael Foran and Rev. Allen Bergmann officiating. Interment will be in the Sharon Moravian Cemetery.
